Born Thea Taylor, the youngest of ten in a Mormon family in suburban California,
carolesdaughter found refuge in the arts. Describing her youth as turbulent would be an
understatement; after attending five (or more) different high schools and battling addiction,
in rehab she emerged with profoundly resonant songs. Her early work, recorded in her
bedroom, quickly caught attention, with “Violent” amassing 325M streams and earning
Gold certification. Touring in clubs, theaters, and arenas across the US and Europe, she has
become a seasoned live performer, even at age 22. After a painful hiatus, she’s returned, a voice for the sad sad souls of the universe.
